F4SD®, PowerShell, Empirum, and ITIL 4
Our Academy is evolving once again—this time in three new ways! With three new training courses on F4SD®, PowerShell Empirum, and ITIL 4, we’re responding to our customers’ needs and updating our Academy portfolio.
F4SD—our multitool for first-level support—is becoming increasingly popular among our customers’ service desks. With its intuitive dashboard, traffic-light-colored status icons, and pre-programmed quick actions, the tool is fairly self-explanatory to use. Nevertheless, there are certainly useful tips for F4SD administrators and users, such as how to customize the tool or create their own Quick Actions. In addition to these purely technical basics, the new training also covers methodological approaches for implementing F4SD projects as well as tips for day-to-day work.
The first F4SD training session made its debut last week under coach Francesco Lo Russo and has already received positive feedback:
“I feel much more confident using F4SD now than I did before the training,” said one of the participants.
And another adds enthusiastically: “Overall, the training gave me a good overview of the tool.”
That same week, the second new training course launched:PowerShell Empirum. This specialized training is specifically designed for Empirum administrators and package developers. Over the course of three days, Matrix42 provides comprehensive expertise on using PowerShell scripts within and around Empirum—naturally, this course also includes practical tips and tricks. Overall, this training course also combines theory and practice. In addition to technical fundamentals, practical exercises are integrated, during which participants implement typical scenarios from the Empirum environment or develop process plans. Another key element of the training is the open exchange of experiences among participants, as well as the opportunity to delve deeper into specific topics during Q&A sessions.
The first training session was held remotely under the guidance of our trainer, Ralf Bachmann—with eight participants, it was actually fully booked. Here, too, the feedback from participants was very positive. Christian Dahlum, an IT systems administrator at the Rhineland-Palatinate Medical Service, says:
“Consulting4IT, led by Mr. Bachmann, is, in my view, the perfect combination for explaining even complex topics in a simple and understandable way. (…) I’d be happy to come back, and I’m already thinking about the next courses.”
Last but not least, ourITIL 4special training session took place a week later, led by trainer Sönke Nissen. The training provided a comprehensive overview of the framework for standardizing the entire lifecycle of IT services in organizations: ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library). ITIL 4 focuses specifically on IT services as a means of enabling active shared value creation.
In addition, during the two-day training session, participants were prepared for the ITIL certification exam, which took place immediately afterward. The feedback from participants was consistently positive in this regard as well.
One participant praised the session, saying,“The trainer did a great job guiding us through the presentation, and despite the dry subject matter, we were well prepared for the exam.”
Another participant said, “As always, it was a great training session with a dedicated instructor.”
