PowerShell Empirum

The PowerShell scripting language offers a variety of options for controlling tools and applications via API interfaces—including Matrix42’s Empirum. In our three-day training course, we cover the fundamentals and practical applications of PowerShell scripts in the context of controlling Matrix42 Empirum through third-party applications. 

To integrate applications seamlessly into existing processes and products, PowerShell scripts and the knowledge of how to use them are extremely beneficial. The Empirum PowerShell training course provides the necessary knowledge for using PowerShell scripts in and with Empirum from Matrix42. In addition to explaining key functions and terminology, it also covers the differences between PowerShell and the PowerShell Integrated Scripting Environment (ISE), as well as tips and tricks for practical applications. 

Our training course provides the expertise needed to improve and expand the use of Empirum within your own IT environment, as well as to simplify workflows through automation. In this context, we will cover topics such as replacing or reinstalling a computer using PowerShell scripts. A key focus is on the installation and use of the SDK—specifically, the “Empirum Software Development Kit (SDK)” provided by Matrix42 via the Marketplace, as well as the “Matrix42 Replace Computer Tool (SDK Sample).”   

In addition, our experienced trainer will cover the basics and features of the AppX and PreOS packages. A particularly exciting aspect of the latter is the ability to extend the included scripts—for example, to perform BIOS updates using a base installation.  

The three-day training course effectively combines theory and practice. In addition to covering the basics and providing detailed instructions, the course includes hands-on exercises in which participants, for example, implement typical tasks such as “Change Computer” using PowerShell or develop process plans. It also features open discussion sessions for sharing experiences and exploring specific topics in greater depth.
