Some news is simply very special—and today we have just such news to share: Our managing director and partner, Mirko Oesterhaus, was officially appointed to the Senate of the Economy on April 7, 2025, at the Federal Press Conference Center in Berlin.
A great honor – Senate of the Economy
The appointment took place during a lecture event organized by the Senate of Economy Germany e.V. and the Senate of Economy Europe. Particular highlights of the ceremony included the speech by former Federal President Joachim Gauck and the panel discussion with Dr. Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The Senate of Economy sees itself as a platform for forward-thinking ideas and action.
Here, representatives from business, academia, and civil society come together with a shared goal: to provide impetus for an eco-social market economy that combines economic performance with responsibility and sustainability. Accordingly, Mirko Oesterhaus’s appointment as senator is not solely based on his entrepreneurial achievements and personal expertise. It also recognizes the collective commitment of the entire executive team, which includes Patrick Hild and Christian Müller: to sustainability, a corporate culture in action, and economic success—values that have always defined our company and go hand in hand.
Help shape the future, rather than just go along for the ride
Mirko isn’t just one of our three managing directors and thus plays a key role in shaping our strategic direction. Rather, it’s the seemingly small ideas that are typical of him. For example, he suggested introducing a “sports director” in our company. This initiative has since grown into a full-fledged movement with numerous sports groups.
In the Senate of the Economy, he will serve on the “Digital Future” commission. This commission focuses on the issues that matter to us anyway: data protection, sustainable IT strategies, and the question of how to shape digitalization in a meaningful way.
“Digitalization is a key driver of sustainable progress. As a senator, I want to help provide impetus for business and politics within the Senate of the Economy. It is also important to me to be able to give prominence to my vision of a United States of Europe,” said Oesterhaus.
Sustainable digitalization: More than just a buzzword to us
Mirko Oesterhaus’s appointment to the Senate demonstrates that our approach is working. We view digitalization not merely as a technical project, but as a task for society as a whole. With our portfolio of IT service management solutions, we help companies operate in a more sustainable, efficient, and future-proof manner.
“As an IT service provider, we are aware of the responsibilities that come with digitalization. Our IT service management solutions go beyond mere technology—they promote sustainable business processes and help actively shape the digital transformation,” said Patrick Hild.
For us, one thing is clear: this appointment is not only a recognition of Mirko Oesterhaus, but of our entire company. Because in the end, that is exactly what it is all about: making a difference together. And now, we are doing so at the political level as well.
