Our appearance at the 2023 Hannover Messe allowed us to significantly expand the market presence of our service desk application, “F4SD.” The software attracted interest not only from industry professionals but also from the press on site.
From April 17–21, 2023, we were present at the Hannover Messe with our own products and the solutions from our partners Matrix42, Varonis, and Nexthink. The high overall attendance of approximately 130,000 visitors also had a positive impact on foot traffic at our booth. The well-thought-out marketing concept featuring an LED wall and Nintendo games, as well as the consistently positive atmosphere created by the team, also contributed to the positive response from booth visitors.

We received particularly positive feedback for “First Aid Service Desk (F4SD).” Many prospective customers had our experts on-site explain the service desk application to them. In particular, the application’s focus on first-level support was well-received by many trade show visitors. In addition to scheduling numerous follow-up meetings, we also secured several immediate commitments for software licensing.
An Interview with the Executive Team and Product Management
The software also sparked interest among the press in attendance. Weka-Verlag invited Consulting4IT to two interview sessions at its booth. Mirko Oesterhaus, our CEO, and Carlos Kohl, Head of Product Management, answered questions from Dr. Jörg Schröper, editor-in-chief of Weka’s trade journal LANline. Among other things, Schröper wanted to know what makes F4SD special. The tool, Oesterhaus replied, focuses solely on the needs of first-level support staff and helps “colleagues on the front lines serve their customers.” F4SD offers the ability to handle everything—from root cause analysis to troubleshooting and documentation—within a standardized interface. According to Carlos Kohl, the consistently positive reactions from visitors at the trade show confirm the validity of the chosen approach.
Conclusion – Trade Shows Are Trending
Overall, we conclude that the Hannover Messe was a resounding success. It clearly demonstrated that trade shows continue to serve as an effective platform for companies and customers and are well received. Accordingly, we are already looking forward to the it-sa trade show, which will take place in Nuremberg in October 2023. Until then, our in-house development department, led by Carlos Kohl, plans to continue expanding the functionality of F4SD.
