Growing Together - This year’s theme for our Experience Day
And there’s hardly a better way to describe the day itself. Instead of monotonous lectures and a PowerPoint marathon, the program consisted of a variety of acts.
The event kicked off with a hearty breakfast to give everyone a boost for the day. In addition, anyone interested could learn about the work of DKMS and register directly to become a stem cell donor.
Things really got going right after that: The panel discussion with our management team was the perfect opportunity to ask questions, and both the moderator and the audience took full advantage of it.
Topics discussed included the company’s future strategic direction, partner management, and how to navigate the current economic situation. Our management team was able to provide well-informed answers and put some concerns to rest.
But the other presentations were also well-received:
In addition to the presentation of our charitable initiatives by our in-house Charity Board and the introduction of our new internal learning platform, the main focus was, of course, on the new, in-house developed software F4SD, whose features and benefits were once again presented to the entire workforce by our product team.
One of the highlights of the day: lunch! A food truck came to our courtyard especially for the occasion and served us traditional Swabian and South German specialties such as Maultaschen, Spätzle, and potato salad.
The afternoon program was all about active collaboration. Various workshops on different topics took place throughout the building—ranging from a presentation of our C4IT Customer Journey to a creative activity and a learning simulation game, all the way to the “Christmas in a Shoebox” charity drive, during which over 100 gift packages were put together for children in need. This afternoon required everyone to put their heads together, tap into their creativity, and demonstrate their skills. The results were documented on large bulletin boards and finally presented in our Academy in the form of an exhibition.
And what, of course, is a must on a day like this? The perfect finale as a reward! This took the form of a dinner party at the local Michelin-starred restaurant, Schwitzers Hotel am Park. The stylish ambiance, haute cuisine, and an exquisite selection of wines provided the perfect setting for plenty of fun and joy, great conversations in a relaxed atmosphere, and an all-around successful evening.
