How IT Analytics Uses Nexthink to Improve IT Services

Transparency, IT efficiency, and optimization of the user experience—these are TDK Electronics’ goals for its internal IT services. In this interview, Martin Voskors, Head of Corporate IT Services, explains how Nexthink works for TDK Electronics in combination with Consulting4IT’s service offerings

Challenges and Background – What led you to make your purchase decision?

Two factors made this topic particularly interesting to us: We wanted to improve transparency regarding our users’ IT issues and, in doing so, optimize our oversight of IT services and their performance. We place a high priority on answering our users’ questions quickly and resolving issues efficiently. To do this, we need a comprehensive data collection system as a foundation, along with the resources to analyze that data. This allows us to make valid assessments and better evaluate our users’ subjective perceptions.

How do you plan to work with us to overcome these challenges?

We use Consulting4IT’s Managed DEXOps Service. This provides us with the resources for data analysis and domain-specific expertise. We expect a proactive and regular exchange of findings and corresponding recommendations for action.
Beyond daily analysis, we want to use Nexthink’s database to analyze individual cases in detail. So, when an IT problem arises, we want to work with Nexthink and Consulting4IT’s service support to quickly and clearly identify the cause so we can take prompt corrective action.

What benefits do you expect to gain from Nexthink and our analytics service?

We expect that by monitoring our services on a daily basis, we will improve our IT service delivery and, as a result, the user experience. By leveraging data analysis and evaluation, we also aim to resolve IT issues more efficiently, thereby enabling us to allocate our resources in a targeted and proactive manner.

Why did you decide to work with us?

The key factor for us was Consulting4IT’s Managed DEXOps Service, which is not offered by any other Nexthink partner. Without this service, the tool would not be of interest to us, as we are unable to perform the necessary analysis ourselves. Combined with this service, the overall package is a practical solution for us.
