Consulting4IT supports an animal shelter in Turkey

Providing a home for stray dogs: That is the mission that animal lovers in the Turkish town of Serik have set for themselves.

They run a private animal shelter there and take in dogs in need. These animal lovers not only fund the shelter themselves, but also devote all their free time to maintaining it—for example, by building shelters and enclosures.

Animal welfare is always the top priority. The approximately 70 dogs are mostly free to roam the grounds, but they can also retreat to weatherproof shelters. A veterinarian supports the project. Whether it’s vaccinations, spaying or neutering, or other surgeries, he takes care of it.

Our managing director, Mirko Oesterhaus, visited the site and saw the situation for himself. Impressed by the animal lovers’ dedication, Consulting4IT is now providing financial support for the project to ensure a supply of food and medical care and to carry out expansions on the premises. This is not a one-time donation, but rather the start of a sponsorship. Consulting4IT will continue to donate to the project in the future.

Our contact person, Barbara Schellenberg, is originally from Austria but has been living in Turkey for years and is one of the volunteers at the animal shelter. She emphasizes: “Our goal is to care for as many animals as possible and then find them good homes—and we’d be very happy to place them in Germany as well.”

If you are interested in adopting, please feel free to contact [email protected].
