Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Want to know how our training courses work, what topics are covered, or how to sign up? No problem—here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Consulting4IT Academy. Quick explanations, easy to understand.

General Information

Our training sessions are practical, personalized, and tailored to individual needs. Small groups of up to eight participants allow for in-depth discussion and targeted guidance from our experienced trainers. You’ll work with real-world examples, receive detailed materials, and complete the training with a certificate of participation.

We are also happy to offer training sessions in English or with customized content upon request.

Yes, that is possible, provided you already have an official order confirmation. Using your order confirmation number (VAB), you can select the desired training format on our schedule page and secure an available spot for the appropriate session.

Here's how:

  • Select a training session via the website
  • Click “Register for this training”
  • Enter the 5-digit VAB number in the form (do not enter a VAG number or an incorrect number, as this will result in the reservation being canceled)
  • Enter the participant's name and email address, then submit

The registered participant will immediately receive confirmation of their binding training reservation, along with a survey regarding their participation (e.g., online or in-person, allergies, shuttle service, etc.).

Don't have a VAB number yet? Then simply request a quote —we'll get back to you shortly.

Our training courses are led by experienced instructors who also work as consultants at Consulting4IT. This means they deal with the very topics they teach at the Academy on a daily basis—and as a result, they bring in-depth expertise, up-to-date practical experience, and numerous real-world examples.

For you, this means: practical content, approachable instructors, and real-world knowledge that you can apply directly to your daily work.

Yes, our learning paths show you at a glance how the individual courses build on one another in a logical sequence. You’ll receive clear guidance and can plan your professional development in a structured way—based on your prior knowledge, goals, and areas of focus. These recommendations are based on our many years of experience and will help you get the most out of our training offerings.

Yes, with our Hero Campaign, you’ll enjoy attractive discounts as soon as you attend multiple training sessions. After just your first session, you’ll receive a 5% discount on your next booking. After two sessions, the discount is 10%, and after the third session, it’s even 15%.

With our vouchers, you can secure training spots in advance—with no fixed dates. This gives you maximum flexibility while allowing you to take advantage of attractive discounts on multiple bookings or seasonal promotions. The vouchers are valid for one year and can be easily redeemed for all regular training sessions. The only exceptions are the “Lean Service Management,” “ITIL,” and “F4SD” courses.

If you need to cancel a training session, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Please note our cancellation policy:

  • 30% cancellation fee for cancellations made between 6 and 2 weeks before the start of training
  • 50% cancellation fee for cancellations made between 2 weeks and 5 business days before the start of training
  • 100% of the training fee will be charged for cancellations made 5 or more business days before the start of the training

Good to know: If you are unable to attend due to health reasons or scheduling conflicts, you can always designate a substitute at no additional cost. This ensures that your spot is reserved and you won’t incur any extra charges.

Hybrid Academy

Our Hybrid Academy combines the best of both worlds: You decide whether to attend in person in Waldbronn or conveniently online—without compromising on interaction, technology, or learning outcomes. Thanks to professional camera, audio, and streaming technology, you’ll experience high-quality training with multiple views of the instructor, flipchart, and training room. High-quality microphones ensure clear sound. Practical exercises take place directly within the training system. Tools like Slido also enable live polls, Q&As, and brainstorming sessions. Interaction with others—whether in person or online—is also a key part of the experience. You’re engaged at all times, can ask questions, and actively participate. Almost like being there in person—only from the comfort of your own home.

No—the content, materials, and training structure are identical, regardless of whether you participate in person or online. The hybrid format ensures that you receive the same information, exercises, and opportunities for discussion in both formats.

Yes, that’s exactly the advantage of our hybrid training concept: For each training session, you can decide individually whether you’d like to attend in person at our Academy in Waldbronn or join us conveniently online. You can specify your preferred participation method when you register—our team will make a note of this. Shortly before the training begins, we’ll contact you to confirm your participation method and ensure optimal planning for the session. This way, we ensure that technology, support, and the schedule are seamlessly coordinated for all participants—whether on-site or online.

Please note: Some training sessions are conducted exclusively online or offered exclusively in person—depending on the format, organization, or implementation plan. In such cases, we will of course notify you in a timely manner.

Whether online or in person—both training formats offer clear advantages. With online training, you benefit from maximum flexibility: you save on travel and accommodation costs, can participate on short notice, and have more time for family or personal commitments. Thanks to the care package and innovative hybrid technology, you’ll still enjoy a high-quality training experience—almost as if you were there in person.

Our in-person training sessions in Waldbronn, on the other hand, stand out thanks to a genuine learning environment: no distractions, modern on-site facilities, and a full range of snacks, beverages, and lunch. Participants particularly appreciate the personal interaction—whether during breaks, group exercises, or dinner together. Many participants report that the direct interaction and close relationship with our trainers provide real added value that goes far beyond the training itself.

Our tip: If possible, we recommend the in-person format—for more in-depth discussion, more lasting learning, and a true Academy experience.

On-site training

Because training at our Academy is about much more than just imparting knowledge. On-site, you’ll benefit not only from direct interaction with our trainers but also from personal exchanges with other participants—whether during breaks, over lunch, or at evening events. It is precisely these conversations that often make a training session particularly valuable and provide additional inspiration. Of course, you decide for yourself which format suits you best—we will design your training experience to be both professional and personalized in any case.

Our in-person training sessions in Waldbronn typically last three days and combine in-depth expertise with a personal atmosphere:
On the first day, you’ll arrive at your leisure between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.—using our VIP shuttle if you’d like—and start with a welcome breakfast. The first training session begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by lunch and additional training sessions until around 5:00 p.m.

On the second day, we’ll start at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast at the Academy. After a day of hands-on training, we invite you to join us for dinner in the evening at the “Kesselhaus” in Karlsruhe—shuttle service included.

The third day begins again at 9:00 a.m. with a group breakfast. After additional training sessions, the day ends around 5:00 p.m. with the presentation of your certificate of participation.

Tip: Be flexible when planning your return trip—some training sessions may end a little earlier, depending on the group dynamics.

During our in-person training sessions, we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of—all three days long: To start your day, you’ll enjoy a light breakfast and fresh coffee, along with a selection of snacks and beverages available throughout the day. At lunchtime, we’ll enjoy high-quality cuisine from select local restaurants together, such as Schwitzer’s Brasserie or Pistons Herzstück. On the second evening, we invite you to a special highlight: a 3-course meal at the fine dining restaurant “Kesselhaus” in Karlsruhe—including shuttle service.

Of course, we also take individual preferences or dietary restrictions into account. Just let us know in advance—we’ll take care of it.

Yes, reserved parking spaces are available right next to the Academy for participants in our in-person training sessions. When you register for your training, we’ll ask if you’ll be arriving by car—if so, we’ll reserve a parking space for you. You’ll receive a parking map with directions in advance. Once you arrive, your parking space will be clearly marked with your company name. This way, you can arrive relaxed and stress-free.

For all participants arriving by train or plane, we offer a complimentary VIP shuttle service. Upon request, we will pick you up:

  • from Karlsruhe Central Station
  • from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport
  • directly from your hotel in Waldbronn

We’ll also take care of your return trip. Just contact our Academy team well in advance with your travel plans—we’ll handle the rest so you can arrive here relaxed and on time.

Yes, after you make your reservation, we will send you a list of recommended hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Academy. This will allow you to take your time deciding which accommodation best suits your needs.

After you book, we’ll send you some recommendations for activities and restaurants in and around Waldbronn. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed dinner, a short walk, or a fun way to wind down the evening—we’ll show you what’s available.

Yes—even if you’re participating from home, we’ve got you covered. Before the training begins, you’ll receive a care package packed with practical materials and little treats for when you need a break. We’ll also give you a Lieferando gift card that you can use flexibly on the three training days—whether for your lunch break or a relaxing evening. That way, you’ll have everything you need, even online.
