Consulting4IT and Makro Factory Announce Partnership

Shared values, robust products: New partnership brings together service management, infrastructure, and IT security

Waldbronn, May 30, 2025 – Consulting4IT GmbH and Makro Factory GmbH & Co. KG have entered into a strategic partnership. Building on shared values and expertise, the two companies will combine their strengths to benefit their customers. Under the new agreement, each partner’s proprietary products will also complement the other’s offerings.

Partnership based on shared values

Both companies are active in the German Business Council—a nonpartisan organization that advocates for an eco-social market economy and corporate social responsibility. It was here that Mirko Oesterhaus, CEO of Consulting4IT, and Peter Dittmar, CEO of Makro Factory, met in person for the first time. During their conversation, it quickly became clear that both companies were on the same page, both professionally and culturally—which ultimately led to the idea of a partnership between equals.

“Peter and I are connected not only by our love of regularly sharing experiences over hearty snacks. Rather, it’s our shared understanding of values,” smiles Mirko Oesterhaus. “We think beyond traditional industry boundaries, take a solution-oriented approach, and prioritize long-term relationships—both internally and externally. Professionally and personally.” In addition, Peter Dittmar sums up the value-adding aspect of the partnership: “In a world where, unfortunately, the ‘us versus them’ mentality is once again coming to the fore, we’re happy to be the odd ones out who still believe in synergies through collaboration. This allows us to combine our respective strengths, and everyone benefits—we as a company as well as our customers.”

Service Management Meets IT Infrastructure and Security

While Consulting4IT specializes in IT service management solutions, Makro Factory focuses on process optimization, IT security, infrastructure, and digital resilience. Both companies are long-standing Matrix42 partners and advise clients across various industries, ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to large corporate clients. The partnership aims to mutually position each other’s core solutions in the market: For example, Makro Factory will incorporate the Matrix42 add-ons developed by Consulting4IT, as well as their first-level support solution “F4SD,” into its portfolio. Consulting4IT, in turn, will bring its new partner on board when there is potential for its in-house developments—including, for instance, the Makro Accelerated Recovery Service or MakroID, which are solutions for data recovery and two-factor authentication.

F4SD will serve as the technological bridge for the partnership. The first-level support solution developed by Consulting4IT is currently being expanded to include an interface with Citrix, making it the ideal addition to Makro Factory’s portfolio as a Citrix specialist. This will create synergies that both partners intend to actively leverage. The goal is to tap into the full potential of both worlds through combined expertise: infrastructure and security on the one hand, service processes and support optimization on the other.

“Our customers need solutions that just work—from the process to the platform,” explains Patrick Hild, who is also a managing director at Consulting4IT. “Together, we deliver exactly that—without any friction, but with a wealth of expertise.”

First joint appearance at it-sa planned

The new partnership will be unveiled for the first time at this year’s it-sa, where Makro Factory will be represented at the Consulting4IT booth. During the event, the companies will present their collaboration and provide insights into their combined portfolio.
